Surgeries are a great way to meet and talk in person. For security reasons we need to book you in by appointment at the moment - you can book your appointment by calling the office on 0141 465 8925 or by emailing [email protected].
If you'd rather do your appointment via telephone or video call we can arrange that too.
We can start a case for you before your surgery appointment, so please, if something is concerning you then get in touch as soon as possible.
If you’re not sure if we can help, go to the top of this page and click on ‘How I can Help’ or just ask. It is rare that we cannot help and if we can’t, we almost always know who can.
Street Surgeries
“What is a street surgery?”
Good question – and basically, it’s a chance for me to come to you if you need any help or advice from me or my team. We usually hold surgeries in our office or in venues across Glasgow North East, but I know that’s not always the most convenient when people have other commitments. So, to get around this I’ve planned a series of street surgeries where I can come to your door and listen to anything that might be concerning you or to hear about any issues you want to raise with your Member of Parliament.
As your MP I’m here to help you with everything from upholding consumer rights to making sure you’re getting all the support and benefits you might be entitled to, and so much more (like getting back money people are owed from HMRC or helping chase up housing repairs– we really have done it all!).
On top of all of this I’m here to listen to you. I get so many letters on issues that matter to people across Glasgow North East, from concerns about legislation on animal welfare to how we protect our employment rights. Street surgeries are a great way to hear about these things first hand, so please, if you would like me to pop by and chat then give me a call or an email and my team will book that in.

Cost of Living Events
The cost of living just hasn’t gone down enough and coupled with the decision of the UK Government to withdraw energy bill support this year, I feel it is only right to make sure that my constituents are aware of every bit of help they can get this winter and beyond.
We have invited a number of organisations who specifically help and advise on maximising incomes and saving money, whether that is through energy efficiency, benefits advice or help accessing grants and funds.
The aim of these events is to make it as easy as possible for local people to get the right advice for them, and it will be a great opportunity to meet you in person. As well as the many organisations listed who will be attending, I will be there with my team to meet with you and help with any issues you might be needing a hand with. We deal with all kinds of issues for constituents, and if there is something we can’t help you with then we’ll know the people who can.
