Show Your Support For Palestine

I have organised a public meeting because so many of you have written to me expressing your real distress at what is happening in Palestine. At this meeting we will hear from two experts and then have a discussion about what more we can all do to bring this to an end.

Philippa Whitford is an SNP MP who lived in Gaza for 3 years where she worked as a surgeon. She is a compelling speaker and she will give us a presentation on what Gaza was like, how that compares to now, what she is hearing from friends still there or displaced and the work she is doing to allow Scottish health professionals to support Palestinian ones.

It is crucial that we have a strong turnout however for our other speaker Dr Ibrahim Khadra. Since October he has lost 70 members of his wider family in Gaza. Dr Khadra is based in Glasgow and is Chair of the Palestinian Community of Scotland. I am so grateful to him for agreeing to speak and if anyone knows what his community needs from us, it is him.
